Lets Play Catch Up

It has been quite some time since I have posted...Tanner is here!  He was born Wednesday May 11th, 2011, at 1:20 and weighed 6lbs 8 oz.  My labor was incredibley easy.  Tanner is absolutly beautiful.  It is such an amaizing feeling and I am so proud to be his mother

30 WEEKS

I can't believe it...only 10 weeks to go.  We have painted the house, gotten new carpet and floors and registered at three places...BUT...we have a lot more to do before Tanner gets here.  We still have to get the  baby furniture, get the outside puppies fenced off from the porch, get the garage cleaned out, get the garage door fixed, and figure out where to put either the samari or the fourwheelers and lawnmower so I can park my car in the garage, get some plumming issues taken care of, get the new fausset installed, and get some light fictures hung...whew!!! stresses me out a little...Anyway went for my 30 week check up yesterday, everything looks, sounds, and feels good so GREAT!! I have also gained 30 lbs which is 5 more then I was suppose too but he did not seem concerned.  My new goal is going to be completing his room, hopefully ill get pics up soon =]

27 WEEKS

Went to the Dr. yesterday morning for my 27 week check up.  I had to start my rotate this time to be sure to see all the Dr.s in the practice.  The new Dr was nice, but I am really hoping that Dr. Goolsby, my reg ob, delivers Tanner.  When the Dr. asked me if he was kicking a lot, I said no.  I thought that he was just lazy.  She was concerned so they sent me to ultrasound.  When I got in there they discovered that the reason I am not feeling a lot of movement is because of his position.  He is breech, his botton is down and his head and feet are up.  So when he kicks he is kicking toward my back and also kicking himself in the face.  I am just glad he is ok.  They said that he still has about 6 weeks to turn, so I am not too worried about that yet. I have gained 25lbs so far, which was the original goal for the entire pregnancy.  Maybe I will not gain too much more in these next 13 weeks.  I go back in 3 weeks on march 10th, then after that I will start going every two weeks...

Tanner is healing my heart...

My family has been hit hard with sadness this past two weeks.  On January 10th, my Aunt Jean who has been very sick for a long time passed away.  Aunt Jean was my Nana's sister and Nana had been taking care of her for almost two years.  The day of her funeral, January 15th 2011 my Poppy past away.  Poppy had surgery on New Years Eve and they found he had colon and liver cancer and had had it for many years.  He was at home and he was surrounded by his loved ones when he passed.  The morning of his funeral I had my 23 week check up on Tanner and my sugar test (which was not as bad as I thought it would be, but it did make me very sick).  We listened to his little heart beat and I just melted.  I am so in love with this little man.  I know it sounds strange but concentrating on him, and my love for him is healing my heart.  I am greatly saddend that he will never meet his Poppy or Aunt Jean.  Poppy was so excited about him.  Everytime I saw him, even in all his pain when he was in hospital, he would ask if I brought his Grandson and he would rub my belly.  My Daddy is having a hard time and I hope and pray that Tanner is healing his heart too.  I honestly believe that he is.  These are the most recent pictures I have of my Poppy.  They were taken at our wedding almost two years ago.

Christmas 2010

We had a wonderful Christmas this year.  Santa was way too good to me.  Tanner even got some things from his Nona and Popa.  We are so blessed to have such wonderful friends and family.  oh and we were very excited to say that we finially figured Christmas out this year...With my brother and I both being married and needing to be so many places at one time, its so hard to get everyone together at one time. without being rushed to be somewhere else and it was very nice to have everyone there.  I can;t wait to see what Christmas will be like next year with Tanner here to enjoy it with us...

IT'S A BOY!!!

We went for our Anatomy scan ultrasound this morning.  I was so nervouse that baby would be shy or sleeping and would not give us a peek.  But baby was moving around, kicking and stretching.  I tried to pay close attention when the baby was kicking to see if I could feel it, but I can't.  Oh well hopefully I will start feeling movement soon.  Anyway...everything looks great and it's a boy...hopefully I will get to post some pics soon =]  I go back on January 19

We have so much to be thankful for...

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year.  It was so much fun telling all of our family that we are expecting.  It is unbelievable how blessed we are.  I hate to rush the holidays, because I really love Christmas time and Christmas music and Christmas movies, but I can't wait until December 22nd.  That is the day that we will find out if our little Love is a little boy, or a little girl.  I kinda have a feeling that it is a little girl.  I honestly do not care either way, but I know Jon is pulling for a little boy.  Anyway we will know in 3 weeks =]  I really want to have names picked out by then.  We have picked out and agreed on a boys name, Jonathon Tanner Vines, we will call him Tanner.  But, We can't agree on anything for a baby girl, we both like Hope, but can't agree on anything to go with it??? I have been reading a couple of books on pregnancy.  The books say that at 16 weeks you may feel movement from the baby.  I can't feel anything...I am 16 weeks 1day, so hopefully I will feel baby soon...
